The London Olympics brought together not only athletes, but also super stars such as the Spice Girls and Liam Gallagher, in the traditional English pop and rock show.
Although the magnificent night brought various, delighting and beloved stars such as Paul McCartney, the Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal, George Michael, Pet Shop Boys, The Kaiser Chiefs, Madness, Annie Lennox and many others, it was the reunited Spice Girls that offered the biggest performance. The event on Sunday night, August 12th, was viewed by 300 million people all over the world and 80,000 fans at Olympic Stadium.
The well-known Spice Girls, including Emma Bunton (“Baby Spice”), Melanie Chisholm (“Sporty Spice”), Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice”), Victoria Beckham (“Posh Spice”) and Melanie Brown (“Scary Spice”), arrived into the center of the stadium in multicolored taxis and offered their fans their beloved songs such as “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life”.
The girls put an end to their feud with Liam Gallagher, which began back in 1997 when after the singer took a picture with David Beckham, began to spark a war of words with the Spice Girls. He even refused to make an appearance at the Brit Awards saying that: “If I bump into the Spice Girls, I will smack them.” But all was forgotten at the after-party given for the VIPs at his house.
