The US Weekly magazine managed to take the first photo of Kourtney Kardashian and her lovely one-month daughter Penelope Scotland Disick and 2-year-old son Mason.
“Nothing could prepare me for how hard I fell in love with her,” Kardashian told the magazine.
The adorable Scott Disick was born on July 8th in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the entire Kardashian family welcomed her with open arms. Kim Kardashian immediately wrote on her website that she was thrilled to see her niece and that she could hardly wait to spoil her.
“Kourtney gave birth to a beautiful baby daughter on Sunday and the whole family is so thrilled to finally meet her!” she wrote. “She is absolutely perfect! I am so excited to be an aunt again and can’t wait to spoil little Penelope.”
Both Kourtney’s pregnancies were highly publicized and many industry insiders wondered who will be the lucky magazine to take the first photos and how much it will shell for this. People magazine offered Jessica Simpson $800,000 for the first photos with her baby daughter, but editors believe that Kourtney will be lucky if she gets $20,000 to $30,000 for the pictures.
“It’s been a long time since paying to secure exclusive images of a celebrity baby guaranteed huge sales,” said an editor. “Kourtney’s second child isn’t such a big deal. If it were Kim’s baby, it might be different, but with the exception of hardcore fans no one is waiting to see what Penelope looks like. Now a picture of Tom and Katie is worth more.”
Well we are left assuming how much the family got for the pictures, as the celebrities didn’t give any information about this. But why don’t we let the money aside, and just be happy for her precious little daughter?
My sister and I and 3 of my good freinds were all pregnant together. My sister and 1 friend delivered about 6 months before us, while the rest of us all delivered within 4 days of each other. It was a lot of fun to compare pregnant bellies and have someone to relate to while we were pregnant and its been even more fun to have all the babies together. In fact, my sister and I are planning our next pregnancies to happen around the same time again. So, yes, if the timing is right for everyone, I think its great to be pregnant at the same time as someone you are close to!
